Platige Image is looking for a Previz TD with a passion for both - programming and CG/VFX industry - to join our outstanding Previz team. The person in this position will work closely with the Previz and Mocap team supporting them in technical aspects of the pipeline for a better understanding of the needs and implementing smart solutions. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES IN A NUTSHELL
– Develop in-house tools that shape and automate the Previz production.
– Create custom scripts for Maya and MotionBuilder.
– Support the Previz Team in technical aspects of the pipeline.
– Assist technicians with several ongoing R&D projects.
– Cooperate with the Mocap TD in finding the best solutions for the Previz Team.
– Explore opportunities for technical or workflow improvements.
– Cooperate with team members and artists to better understand the needs and implement smart solutions.
– Prepare Previz sequences for further pipeline steps.
– Process mocap data including retargeting.
– Maintain and support the use of existing tools.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
– Previous experience as Pipeline or Assistant TD.
– Thorough understanding of post-production pipelines.
– A good working knowledge of Maya and MotionBuilder.
– Knowledge of one of the following programming languages: Python or C#.
– Good creative and technical problem-solving skills.
– Good communication skills in English.
ADDITIONALLY SCORED
– A genuine interest in games, film, and animation.
– Experience in environments like Game Dev, Cinematics / VFX.
